Is a program that provides participants with practical work experience in a variety of disciplines.  This program is designed to promote sharing of departmental knowledge and provides an efficient method for learning multiple aspects of the business.  Based on their disciplines, participants in this program will be assigned to different work units for varying lengths of time.  This training program fosters an ability to work with and appreciate core business functions within the utility environment.  The employee will participate in the program for approximately 18 months.

Eligibility requirements for the Career Foundation program are listed below:

• Candidate must have graduated from an accredited college/university within the past 24 months.
  
• For Business Associate: a minimum of bachelor's degree with emphasis in Business, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Math or Computer Science.
  
• For Associate Engineer:  a minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering with emphasis on civil, electrical, mechanical or chemical.  FE (Fundamentals of Engineering) preferred.
  
• Pass pre-employment physical including a drug screen.
