Santee Cooper offers an opportunity for students to gain practical experience in an electric utility environment during the summer months.
We hire current college and high school students for a variety of positions in Moncks Corner and Myrtle Beach areas. Most of our summer positions are for college students who have completed at least one year of college. However, there are some positions for which high school students (at least 16 years of age) are eligible. Those positions they are eligible for include lifeguard, grounds and facilities maintenance and some clerical positions. All candidates for summer employment must pass a pre-employment physical, including a drug screen.
When and how to apply for summer employment
We begin accepting applications for summer employment at the end of November. Interested students MUST complete an online application for consideration. It is recommended that students apply early for the best opportunity as positions fill up quickly.
